garden

Working in my garden makes me feel soooooo good. I now have beans, onions ,cabbage and tomatoes. I also have more corn coming up. Will it mature again this year? I don't know but shall find out. My herbs are going to be great next year. Right now they are small and it's too hot to plant more.

Should have taken a picture of the huge spider I found in the tomatoes. I left it there because I also found a bright green worm and some holes in the tomatoes. That spider needs to get busy.

Peregrine Falcon

This should probably go in my nature photos blog but oh well.

This Peregrine Falcon has been visiting the power tower behind our house for some time now. A lot more since doves have been roosting here. I had been seeing all these feathers flying around and thought someone must be plucking chickens. WRONG. This is way better.  My camera doesn't zoom well so you can see that it's pretty close. I'm so excited to see this bird!!! It's awesome. I really want to see it grab it's dinner from right out of the sky. Amazing.

Blah

Just loving Saturday by myself in a house full of people. Wish I could be somewhere else by myself. The Santa Fe Dam? Maybe I'll take a freaking long walk. That actually sounds like a good idea. To bad I'm a chicken.

WAIT!!!

My boyfriend took this amazing photo. I liked it so much I decided to post it for all of you.

Santa Fe Dam

Santa Fe Dam, new life, and the breeze in my hair. Why am I not believed when I say I could live off the land and be happy? Away from people and noise and cars and speakers that blast the bass through walls and your brain. I know that's a bad sentence but I don't really care. I see how life should be and then have to come back to how it really is and it pisses me off. No one respects their neighbors, their family, or their friends anymore. And they definitely don't respect nature. It's very sad. I go to the dam for the quiet of it and what do I find if it's the weekend? Blaring radios that's what. Hello, other people here!!! Not all of us want to hear that shit!!! Are we that selfish now that we don't understand that? What are headphones for? Am I the only one that feels this way?  Does anyone have any common sense anymore? "Hmm, I have neighbors maybe I should turn it down some."  How hard is that?
